Hey all,
I used to live in a major city near me, but I’ve since moved out to the suburbs closer to my work. I have a dog and one roommate, so pretty chill life.
However, I’ve been trying to date again and dating in the suburbs is so much worse than when I was in the city. I simply don’t have the locations or the time to find people or drive everywhere to coordinate dates. It just gets exhausting when there’s no one nearby and the only options are people in the city on apps anyway.
Rent wise it would be similar to what I already pay, I wouldn’t have a yard or a garage anymore. That suck, but ultimately I’d have more of a social life. My commute would gain about 15-20 min but that’s no biggie either as I’ve done it before.
I guess I’m just wondering what people here think. Would you move into the city just for social reasons and connection, or would you rather just stay in the suburbs where it’s quiet??
