Hi! I’m starting at Nottingham Trent University (Clifton Campus) this September and I’m looking for a 1-bedroom flat or studio to rent.

Ideally:

• Living alone
• Around £550–£750 pcm including bills
• Furnished preferred
• Within a reasonable commute of Clifton Campus
• Student-friendly / students accepted

I'm 19, currently at DMU and have an unconditional offer to continue into Biomedical Engineering. I've also applied to Bradford and NTU because their courses may suit my career interests better.

The problem is I really struggle with big changes and have a history of choosing familiarity, even when I wanted something different.

I also really want to move out and become independent, but now that it's becoming real, I'm suddenly thinking maybe I should just stay at DMU and do a Master's later.

For anyone who's moved away despite being scared of change: how did you know whether you genuinely didn't want to go or were just scared?
