Hey r/india,

This is a long post, but I want to make sure people understand what Cashify is like before they trust it with their devices.

The background:

I am a loyal Cashify customer. I have bought 3-4 phones through them, all good experiences. I even recommended them to multiple friends and colleagues. I bought Oneplus 12R from them. So when my OnePlus 12R developed an issue (alert slider stopped working), I reached them.

Big mistake.

What happened:

I dropped my phone at the Cashify store, Marathalli, Bengaluru, 10+ days ago. ONE issue. The alert slider. That is it.

Here is what followed:

— Day 3: Called for update. "Sir it will be done tomorrow."

— Day 5: Called again. "Sir some part issue, slight delay."

— Day 7: Called again (had to call 5 times back to back before anyone picked up). "Sir tomorrow pakka."

— Day 10: They called me and said: "Sir the part is not available. Please take your phone back. We will call you when the part arrives."

That is right. After 10 days, they had done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. And they chose to inform me about the unavailable part only after holding my phone for 10+ days. Not on Day 1. Not Day 2. Day 10.

I went, collected my phone — still same issue — and came home with exactly what I gave them.

The cherry on top:

After escalating via email (3 times now), their response each time is a copy-paste template:

"We have escalated the issue to the team, kindly wait 24-48 hours."

I have been waiting for 10+ days. They want 48 more hours. For WHAT exactly?

What I want:

A replacement. Simple. I gave them a fully functional phone with one small issue. They had it for 10 days, did nothing, and returned it broken. I should not have to leave my phone with them again for an indefinite period, waiting for a part with no ETA.

Why am I posting here:

I want people to think twice before buying phones from cashify and giving their device to Cashify for repair. If the spare part is unavailable, they should tell you on Day 1 — not Day 10. The constant "tomorrow" promises, while not picking up calls, is not a repair service, it is a circus.

TL;DR: Gave Cashify my OnePlus 12R for alert slider repair at Marathalli, Bengaluru. They held it 10+ days, told me "tomorrow" 3 times, only picked up calls after I dialled 5 times back to back, then revealed the part was unavailable all along and returned my phone unrepaired. Now they keep saying "wait 48 hours." I want a replacement. Sharing this so others know what to expect. Screenshots in comments.

If anyone has escalation contacts or similar experiences with Cashify, please share.
