Dating life was alright during my 20s. However, as I grew older, and looked for a serious partner I often got disappointed. No, I am not rich enough to compensate height either, if that even works. However I always considered myself to be confident even though my height had been bothering it in meeting women for dating. Before I met her, I have been single for more than 5 years and almost gave up on finding my life partner. Then one day I met her online. She was from my home country Bangladesh. We started hitting off wonderfully. I have always been super transparent about my height. No cm of lying at all. I even downplayed myself as we might be same height, just to see how far she can go. Yes, in the beginning my height was bothering her, however she made peace with my height as long as I am slightly taller than her. I don’t look that short in photos which has been a plus point for me in online dating. Then came the day we first met in person. I saw disappointment in her eyes at the very beginning, then again our strong bond already had played the role and we became literal love birds very very fast. Few weeks back I proposed her. She said yes and I married her within 2 weeks of our engagement. She fought and convinced her Bangladeshi parents for me as they didn’t like me as their daughter‘s groom. She stopped wearing heels for me just to make me look taller beside her. I consider her way out of my league and here I am, sometimes I feel she is crazier in love with me than I am in with her and I feel so lucky for that. Was there any secret? No! All I did was appearing confident, becoming her mature safe place and treat her well. Our chemistry played the rest.
