My spouse works from home and is home alone most weekdays except for school drop-off/pick-up and bike rides. I work in a secure environment where phones are not allowed, so we do not text during the workday at all.

Because he is home by himself during work hours, he does not get any in-person social interaction during the day. He is also very extroverted and has a female friend who he texts more than anyone else.

I’m curious what others think about this dynamic in a marriage.
