Hi y'all! I have a question: I recently just sent a LOI to a school that I really like. They put me on a waitlist around late April and admissions says I might get out either from now until the first week before classes start. However, I also have an acceptance in another school out of state, but I need to relocate before June and if I don't hear back from the school I got waitlisted at before the start of June, then I would need to withdraw my waitlist position after sending the LOI.
My real concern, however, is that if the school I got waitlisted at accepts me around June and I'm already situated at the other school, how would I approach withdrawing the acceptance of the school I got waitlisted at? The reason I'm asking this is because of time, and not having to reapply again to my preferred school and risking the chances of not getting an interview from that school and delaying my chances of becoming a physician.
So I guess my real concern is if there are any formal negative repercussions of withdrawing an acceptance to that school should they take me off the waitlist i.e. blacklisting? Sorry if this post is long and sounds neurotic, but this process has been extremely difficult for me and I don't want to risk losing my chances of attending medical school because of an oversight. Thanks y'all!
