Hi everyone! I’m 39 weeks and 6 days pregnant. Since I still haven’t had any signs of labor, I asked my doctor for a membrane sweep. The problem is that I just couldn’t handle the pain. When she tried to do the cervical exam, I kept involuntarily pulling away because it hurt so much. In the end, we couldn’t do the sweep, and I felt really bad for asking for it and then not being able to go through with it.

Now I’m doubting myself, because what kind of pregnant woman can’t even handle a cervical check? Apparently my cervix was still very posterior, which made things harder. I’m scared of not going into labor naturally and ending up needing an induction or a C-section. Has anyone else gone through something like this?
