Does PepsiCo offer mortgage loans or special mortgage programs for employees?

I’m a PepsiCo employee and I’m looking into buying a home. I know PepsiCo offers some type of mortgage/real estate services through its employee benefits, but I’m wondering if anyone here has actually used the program.

Does PepsiCo offer any special mortgage rates, lender discounts, closing-cost assistance, or other home-buying benefits for employees?

If you’ve used the PepsiCo mortgage/real estate benefit before, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience — especially what lender you used and whether you actually saved money compared with getting a regular mortgage on your own.

Thanks!

Pepsi merchandisers: Union vs. non-union — what do you prefer?

I’m a Pepsi merchandiser and I’m curious to hear from other Pepsi employees about the differences between working at a union vs. non-union Pepsi operation.

I have almost 5 years of experience with Pepsi from when I worked at a non-union Pepsi location in South Texas. I recently moved to Tennessee, where the Pepsi location I’m working at is union.

According to my supervisor, my previous 5 years with Pepsi don’t count toward my seniority here because I came from a non-union location. So basically, I’m starting over when it comes to seniority, meaning I have to work another 5 years before I qualify for things like 3 weeks of vacation, certain benefits, etc.

I’m curious how it works at other Pepsi locations.

For those of you who are union:

- Do you feel like being union is worth it?

- How are your pay, benefits, vacation time, and job protections?

- Does your previous Pepsi experience count toward seniority if you transfer from a different Pepsi location?

- What are the biggest advantages/disadvantages you've noticed?

And for those who are non-union:

Would you rather be union or stay non-union?

I’d especially like to hear from other Pepsi merchandisers who have worked in both union and non-union locations. I’m trying to understand whether I’m actually better off being union despite having to start my seniority over.

Pepsi merch question

Question for fellow Pepsi merchandisers:

Let's say you just got to your store and a customer (or someone else) had already dropped a 12-pack of Mountain Dew, and it's leaking all over the floor. A store employee tells you to clean it up.

Would we be liable for that damage, or is it considered the store's responsibility since it happened before we got there?

I don't mind helping clean it up, but I was curious how this is normally handled. Has anyone been told what Pepsi's policy is on situations like this? Could we get blamed for the damaged product, or is it just part of customer service?

Interested to hear how other merchandisers handle it

Pepsi merchandiser strato stacker is dead

Pepsi merchandisers, what do you do in this situation?

Let's say the very last thing you have left to do before going home is stack your condensed pallets, but the Strato Stacker's battery is dead. On top of that, the receiving area is completely packed with vendor deliveries, so there's nowhere to move the machine to charge it.

What would you do? Do you leave the pallets unstacked and let your supervisor know, or is there another solution you guys usually use? I'm curious how other merchandisers handle this.

Fourth of july Merch

Did anyone else have an easier day than expected for the 4th of July?

I'm a Pepsi merchandiser, and after seeing a bunch of posts on TikTok and Reddit, I was mentally preparing for an absolutely brutal day. Everyone was saying to get ready because it was going to be super heavy.

To my surprise, I only ended up working about 9 hours. Don't get me wrong—it was still busy, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected.

Did anyone else have a lighter-than-expected day, or did your route end up being as crazy as everyone was saying?

Question for Pepsi merchandisers:

If you had the choice between a 4-day route and a 5-day route, which would you pick and why?

We're going to have new routes available for bidding soon, and some of them have different schedules. I'm curious what most merchandisers prefer.

Would you rather work four longer days and have an extra day off, or five shorter days? Does workload, work-life balance, overtime, or store volume affect your decision?

For those of you who have worked both schedules, which one did you like better and why?

Pepsi merchandisers, how long does it usually take you to work a store?

I'm still fairly new and trying to get a better idea of what's considered normal. I am about to complete 4 months as a merch with pepsi. Do you guys work every single item in the store every visit, or do you focus mainly on the delivery, holes, displays, and high-priority items?

Also, let's say you walk into a store with a 9-pallet delivery but the route only has a U-boat available. Roughly how long would that take you to work?

In situations like that, do you normally work all 9 pallets the same day, or is it common to leave some backstock or a few pallets for the next day if time doesn't allow?

I'm curious to hear how different merchandisers handle large deliveries, especially in busy stores with limited equipment.

Do any Pepsi merchandisers bring their own equipment to work?

Hey everyone,

I'm a Pepsi merchandiser and was curious if any of you bring your own equipment to your routes.

Lately I've been covering routes that don't always have equipment available, and I'm considering buying my own hand truck/dolly to make moving product easier and help me get through the day faster.

For those of you who use your own equipment:

- What type of hand truck or dolly do you use?

- Was it worth the investment?

- Does your location allow personal equipment?

- Any downsides I should consider before buying one?

I'm not required to buy one, but I'm thinking it might save time and make those heavy delivery days a little easier.

Thanks!
