For all my vintage owners and lovers out there!
This has been my favorite watch for my entire collecting journey! The only thing that’s made me frustrated with it at times was the bracelet. The stretch was pretty bad, and I always preferred the look of a Rolex style jubilee, but didn’t want to spend the amount vintage 19mm examples go for used (it’s usually more than the entire watch is worth!). So, 2 years after buying, I got an aftermarket option! I am so pleased with how well it goes with the watch!
Of course there had to be some aftermarket shenanigans though. The endlinks that came while appearing to fit perfectly didn’t line up with the lug holes. Thankfully my 597 OEM endlinks worked just fine and I was also able to fit my original clasp to the bracelet too!
This watch is very regularly worn and my favorite in my collection, so I think this was a very much needed quality of life upgrade! What do you guys think?
