Hi all! I'm at a place with my bedroom where I feel like some of the bones are there but it's missing some cohesive things that would bring it together or add interest. It's very beige/boring, but is all stuff from my childhood bedroom and straight out of college so please no roasting me! I’m trying to transition to depth and patterns.

Photos 1-2 are of my actual (sad) bedroom, and 3-5 are some of my Pinterest inspiration photos. I love the bedding in 3rd (first Pinterest) photo and would love to figure out where pillows like that are sourced. And for 4-5, I just love the cozy/luxurious/effortless vibe. But with some color — I’m not going for beige, beige, and beige. The last 2 are of nightstands I am considering, as my current ones were always meant to be temporary (and I think are really adding to the flat feeling because they’re so light?). I really splurged on my dresser and don’t want to part with it, but I’d like whatever nightstands I pick to not be so stark in contrast that they scream *warmth* while the dresser screams *cold*. I’m not in love with my rug anymore either.

It’s also a rental house, so while I could do stuff to the walls for example to fit my inspiration better, I’d rather focus on nailing the furniture/bedding so that when I do have my own place I can really finish the rest of the space. Any advice/tips y’all can give I would really appreciate!

Side note: I work night shift so the blackout curtains are kind of a non-negotiable. I know they aren’t cute lol!
