Hey all, I started on Pristiq in January at 25mg and then 50mg and within a month, it took effect and really helped. I was sleeping MUCH better, overall mood was better, and I thought I was on my way. Then things started to level out. I went up to 100mg which was our target goal. But since the end of February, my sleep has gotten much worse and my tolerance to caffeine is terrible. I used to drink coffee every morning but I notice after coffee, and even after I eat anything, my heart races. Almost like that feeling when you've eaten way too much salt and you don't feel great. But this happens at dinner time sometimes and it can be a salad.
As for the sleep, it has gotten SO BAD. To the point where I lay down, and within 10 mins my restless leg starts up and I want to literally pull my legs off. And within this past week, my entire body does it. My arms, abs, everywhere. The only relief is if I literally flex every muscle in my entire body as hard as I can. This goes on for about 2-3 hours. And then, somehow, it goes away and I fall asleep. I don't know how sustainable this is because sleep is arguably more important to me than my depression. But I do see improvements with mood and anxiety in my day-to-day.
Does anyone know any more about this or have experienced it themself? Any tips on what has helped? Thoughts on if the caffeine combo is the culprit? I only drink coffee in the AM. Never in the evening.
