Help me pick a major please!!
I'm going to be attending UT Austin for the Statistics and Data Science major in the fall. I'm now wondering if my major was a good choice as the program is relatively new and is not as highly regarded as Cockrell, McCombs, or CS so I'm worried I won't be able to find good entry level positions and meet my goal of making a high salary (my goal for yearly salary is $300-400k by 28-29 of age). I am willing to work really hard to transfer to whatever major makes the most money but I don't know what major is the most high-yielding and if it's even worth transferring if SDS is already good. My other options for transfer were Finance, ECE, or CS but I'm open to others. I feel lost...should i stay in SDS, or try transferring, or try double majoring?? Please let me know!!
