Leave oracle?
Hi guys, joined oci 6 months back,
Lucky to be saved in last layoff.
The work they promised me during hiring was short lived and it’s starting to get extremely boring and operational.
I can see lot of internal politics and nobody is satisfied and idk if ill survive august layoffs
I interviewed with another firm and may get it, but it is also notorious for layoffs but in all other aspects is better than oracle
Idk if I should decline the offer and collect front loaded rsu and then try to leave or just leave and let go the rsu (can cover with some bonus in new offer).
The pay will almost be same at both places at-least for year 1 but hikes are 0 here so its gonna be better later.
The worst thing is, recent change of title. Now my title reads like I’m some support engineer whereas i am writing proper java services and I don’t want to associated with wrong titles
