Is anyone else getting absolutely blasted by skunk smell lately? 😭

I like to keep my windows open in the mornings because it’s been getting hot, but almost every day I wake up to skunk smell, in varying intensities, just wafting into the house. And since we barely get any breeze here, the smell just kind of lingers.

What’s weird is I don’t live on a farm or near fields or anything like that either, just a regular house in a pretty densely populated neighborhood. Yet somehow every summer this starts happening again. Some mornings it’s so strong I swear a skunk sprayed right outside my window.

Does this happen to anyone else in the area? Is there actually anything we can do about it or are we just doomed to smell skunk every summer?
