Would my background fit well in supply chain?
I’m currently pursuing a B.S. in Industrial Technology with a minor in Supply Chain Management, and I’ve recently become really interested in how raw materials are sourced, handled, tested, transported, and eventually turned into packaging/products.
Im especially interested in packaging materials, manufacturing operations, quality, and supply chain because I enjoy the behind-the-scenes side of how products move from raw material to finished consumer product.
From a supply chain perspective, how would someone with my background typically be viewed in the industry? Does this sound like a strong path into packaging/materials or manufacturing-related careers?
I’d also love hearing how some of you got started in supply chain or operations and what skills/internships helped you most early on.
