ok it was 2wks back and now im burping. Royal Medic fem photo (i know the RQS hate is out there, ive since broadend my horizons). DWC hydro, very lazy feed sched (my next grow focus) and half hearted training led to a 77d veg 🙄 then 58d flower. Bud washed (hoping i didnt use too cold water!) and to finish off the mistakes: dried in a rack that the tent ventilation drew thru - way to fast. so many school boy errors. 5 ounces dry in total.

Doing some research to improve the feeding in my DWC bubbler system... and came across this guide from Hydrotops - it is a really good read! some great info. Anyone else read this? any views on their nutrients or their guide?

Context on my set-up: 1.2m2 2m tall tent with 720w LED, 2x 96ltr tubs (80ltrs filled each with ~14ltr/min air between them) 4 plants to one tub initially now its 2 per tub. Hard water area, stable 23degC summer and 16degC winter. Heat mat under the tubs (not ideal) but keeps the water 18-20 during winter. I've never been patient enough to dial in the feeds over many diy set-ups, get ok harvests but now with the above settled I'm working to take it up a level.

I upgraded my cheapo 600w 300x300mm LED panel to one of these generic 720W LED folding frame things for £95.... to go in my 1.2m x 1.2m tent, so far so happy but boy does it get hot.

Mine is the Photon from growell.co.uk, the digital drivers are embedded into the end frames (which feel almost as hot as the alu bars supporting the diodes but not quite).

It fits, just. at 100% on the dimmer the alu bars get to 58~60 degC, at 50% its 38degC.

I figured its not such a big leap on wattage, forgetting the size difference between the units and therefore the power being used/ heat created! very silly.

slowly introduced the plants with 10% increase per day, no signs of too much stress yet. phew - as I am doing this at the worst time (4wks into flower).

not come across much other conversation on these online, anyone else happy with them? or found issues?

I am considering fitting some extra alu profiles to the tops to sap more heat away

Left my plants to build up some roots before getting into training, was aiming for manifolds with a corner leaning bias to utilise the 1.2m x 1.2m tent space.

All thoughts on manifolding technique/ shape/ style welcome please. anchoring is problematic, i could lay some bamboo cane grid down to sort it out.

have since realised the light is probably too concentrated/ small, feels like I have to put it higher than ideal for a good angle of coverage. its a cheap 600w "full spectrum" LED jobby from amazon (ashamed and wont use them again).

Detial: theae are 4 clones from a reveged mother Medical Mass RQS fem photo seed (mother is in a pot with some other dirt clones bottom left corner). sitting in net pots 96ltr reservoir with 16ltrs/min air feed, 20-23degC water heater, air temp 18-20degC. not super on the nutrients, there is some in there and illl make more effort... also growing some moss on the clay balls in the nets. i use rain water for top ups. have unsuprisingly had a spider mite infestation, hopeflly ontop of now with neem oil spray schedule and then predators - cant find any more mites with a scope currntly.

Im growing three types: Sorachi Ace (left), Pheonix (centre), Cascade (right).

bought young plants, went in late May 😬 but are getting lucky with the heat and lots of rain. hoping they will get up over the greenhouse.

Bonsai mother in the middle is Medical Mass RQS, the rest are her clones. 4 are in deepwater res with biobizz nutes, 3 on the outside are in soil n fabric pots - to go out to the wilderness when its warm enough.

they were all neglected for a week, got spider mite infestation, tried some predators that helped a bit, have some ladybugs in there and have started a 3day neemoil wash programme. tent is 1.2m x 1.2m x 1.7m tall, light is a cheep 600w led from a smaller tent, may get another.

Thinking of sprouting a free Titan f1 rqs seed and grafting it to the mother... thoughts?
