Just wrapped up the Alan Wake platinum and wanted to share some thoughts.
I went through three playthroughs — blind, collectibles, and Nightmare — and honestly, I had a blast. By the end of the third run I was definitely feeling a bit burned out, but overall the experience was 100% worth it.
I know a lot of people criticize the gameplay for being outdated or janky, but that wasn’t my experience at all. I actually really enjoyed it. The atmosphere, storytelling, and overall vibe carried the game so hard for me.
I did finish the DLC stories as well, but I’m not sure if I have it in me to fully complete them. Those “no death” trophies are pretty brutal — especially the second one. I was super close on the first but threw it at the end trying to rush, which hurt a bit 😅
Still, no regrets. Amazing game, great journey, and I’m really glad I went for the platinum.
Now… time to finally jump into Alan Wake 2.
