Hi everyone,
I’ve been living in Switzerland for more than 10 years, currently in Ticino. Unfortunately, the job market here is quite limited compared to other parts of Switzerland.
I completed my apprenticeship in retail sales in 2022 and received my AFC/EFZ diploma as a Detailhandelsfachmann. Since then, I’ve struggled to find a stable full-time position (100%).
Because of this, I’m considering moving to a German-speaking canton to find better opportunities and grow professionally. I’m motivated, flexible, and willing to adapt, but I’m still unsure which cities or regions would offer the best chances for someone with my background in retail and customer service.
I’d really appreciate any advice, suggestions, or experiences from people working in retail in Switzerland.
