Rare 1921 Chopped Sample

Generally, the practice of chopping coins to very their authenticity phased out soon after the introduction of 1914 Fat Man Dollar. However, I found a chopped yet still lustrous piece minted in 1921.

Pretty Chop… Wait

This is an 1898 Mexican peso by Mint of Mexican City (Mo). However, something really caught my attention is the elevated o for the mint mark. A raised o on an 1898-dated peso is usually the restrike version minted in 1949 upon the order by the Chinese Nationalist government to pay its soldiers in lieu of its hyperinflated currency. Any thoughts on this? Thank you.

Edit: I counted, and there are 139 beads.

My First Carson City Morgan

Got this piece this morning. There seems to be some weird glue on both sides. Hopefully it will come off after getting treated with acetone.

Possible Die Variants?

I found something interesting between my two 1866 Prussian-Austrian war Thaler. Please note the Gs in Koenig on the top center of obverse. Also, the edge letterings are in different alignments. As two weigh roughly the same, and I have never spotted any fake vereinsthaler, I assume both are genuine. Thank you in advance for your input!

Uncommon Chopped Yunnan 50¢

There is a component, 疒, as in the Chinese character 廢(abolished; voided)in the center of the obverse. However, I can’t really tell if it’s 廢 due to the partial chop. Any insights are welcomed!

Planchet Error 1872 Boliviano

It also was struck with a minor o/c. I wonder the potential value of this piece. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Wavy Lettered Edge, Possible Mint Error?

Here I have a piece of Bulgarian 5 leva. I found that the edge is bumpy, took a close look, and thought that something might have gone wrong during the striking of the side lettering. It could also be normal of this issue. Are there any examples alike? Thank you all for your insights and attention.

My Chop Saga so far…

I have been consistently collecting chopmarked coins for the past year, outsourcing eBay and even my friends in Taiwan. I am very happy with my year 3 of Meiji w/ right Gin countermark. I am also quite surprised that British TDs make majority in my collection. Any comments are appreciated!

Cracked Choppies?

This piece looks genuine, and the chop marks look fine. It’s just the minute cracks that halt me. Any ideas? Thanks!

Mysterious Chop?

I came across this 1694 2/3 Thaler and found a "Uco" chop mark on the obverse. I assume this to be an official counter stamp but have no clue what it is. Any comments and insights are greatly appreciated!

Is the year right?

I found this so-called Spanish Philippines 8 reales on a legit auction site. However, as I consulted Numista, such emergency coinage did not seem convert 8 reales as late as 1889. Any insights are very much appreciated!

It has come to my attention that hardly were the silver dollars minted during the ROC era chopped like those in the Qing Dynasty. The chop marks on ROC coins were mostly very subtle and shallow compared to earlier ones that sometimes rendered the coin in a bowl shape.
