How realistic is it to try and train puppy to use a separate outdoor toilet area (not the garden)?
I'm keen to try and get puppy using a designated toilet area to the side of the house, rather than using the lawn or borders and destroying our garden... I have put a large raised bed frame on paving round the side of the house, and plan to fill it with pea gravel. Has anyone else done something similar and with any success? We'll be bringing our fox red working line lab home in a couple of weeks.
