Is there any way to limit DISK usage available to programs?
Hello.
I have a relatively strong PC that shouldn't struggle with the most basic tasks (32GB ram, SSD, etc). Sadly, I was suggested to purchase Crucial BX480 SSD, so thats my Windows 10 drive.
Whenever a new update rolled out for my Windows, the system always took 100% of Disk usage, making the PC basically unusable untill it finished updating. I tried disabling updates using several methods, but they always wiggled themselves back.
After the updates finished, somehow, Windows still manages to update something, or Office is updating something, or AV does something, and whenever such thing happens, the PC is unusable for a bit, untill the process finishes.
SSD was supposed to be way above any of such problems, but somehow, mine isn't. To make matters worse, if the DISK worked at 80% instead of throttling itself at 100%, the whole proces would take fraction of the time it really takes.
Is there any way to limit usage of programs to like 80%, so that atleast 20% of it stays available, preventing it from throttling itself? Or do you think either my hardware or software is set up incorrectly?
I appreciate all suggestions!
