What happens if I don’t use the gas with the EREV model?

For full context, the ev only model would work just fine for me but I do believe that the EREV model is wanted more and worth exploring. The big question I have is what happens if I only drive under 70 miles a day on average? Does the gas just sit in the generator and possibly go bad or does the generator always stay on even if it’s not needed. So maybe it gets filled every 3-6 months?

What’s more important for EV adoption. More level 2 or level3+ chargers?

If you controlled the budget for charging infrastructure. Would you focus getting more L2s in apartment complexes or super chargers in charging deserts or high traffic areas like grocery?

How many of you never charge out in town and only charge at home?

I’ve owned a Ford lightning for over a year now. Like most people when they get an ev I had a little range anxiety. I would charge in every parking lot of every store, I would go to. After a few months of doing that, I realized there was no need to ever do that. I don’t even charge at work anymore. I just let someone else have in case they need it. I only drive 200 miles a day one day a year and even then I don’t charge out in town. Home charging between midnight and 6am is only .04 a kWh.
Also hot take, stores out in town need L3 chargers or better. Not getting enough miles added for 20-30 minutes of shopping. Put all the L2s in apartment complexes, office buildings, and parking garages where someone will be for multiple hours not 30 minutes.
