Hi all, I am looking to obtain copies of CPS cases that were opened on my family, but more specifically me when I was a child. I read that in some cases in NYS, the records are kept until the youngest child in the home is 28. I have overshot that, but my nephew (who is now 29) lived with us on and off over the years. I'm wondering if it's even worth my time to try to see if the state still has any CPS records on file at this point since my nephew is a few months past 28. Does anyone know?
