Zit er al een half uur naar te staren maar kom er niet uit. En let niet op de wol, ik maak het mezelf graag extra moeilijk om mijn dochter blij te maken.

Ik werk aan de D&D dice mimic uit het nieuwe boek. Het begin bestaat uit 2x 22HDC, 2x 10HDC en 4x HDC INC. Totaal 72 steken. (Plaatje 3 bovenste tekening) Rij twee is ook 72 steken. In rij drie maak je de strips om de grijze hoeken later mee vast te zetten. Eerder dacht ik dat ik halverwege uitkwam vanwege de extra strips aan de achterkant, maar die bevestig je pas later in het patroon. Ik kom in rij 3 uit op 52 steken en 4 strips, en dus niet 72 steken. (Plaatje 3 onderste tekening)

Zie ik iets over het hoofd? Fout in het patroon?

De rest van de rijen zijn weer 72 steken en je slaat de hoekstrips over.

I’m not new to crochet but usually a visual learner, so I might have missed something but I can’t seem to figure it out. (Even asked my crochet friend and she comes to the same conclusion). I’ve included an overview of how it comes out if I follow the pattern.

So I’m currently working on the D&D mimic dice box. I’ve made the box base that consists of two panels, from there you start making the side panels. Row 1 is as noted in the picture and consists of 10HDC on the short sides, 22HDC long and 4HDC increase on the corners. Total 72HDC Row 2 is also 72 stitches In row 3 you are making the corner chain strips, first I figured I would end halfway for the extra strips, turns out these are added later in the pattern. So these are just the 4 corner strips. As noted in the third picture the strips do not end in the corner, because the sides are 22HDC, not 14HDC. Total also comes out at 52SC and 4 strips, not the 72 stitches as noted in the pattern.

Is this an error or am I missing something here? The rest of the pattern continues with the 72 stitches as well.

And yes I’ve made it extra difficult for myself because my daughter wanted a fluffy mimic.

Please help, I’ve been staring at it for half an hour and frogged twice already haha!
