Inconsistent UI labels perfectly sum up my issues with the recent updates

Saved tours is labeled \"Geplant\" (\"Planned\") in one overlay and \"Gespeichert\" (\"Saved\") in another

I have mixed feelings about all the recent changes to Komoot. Some of them are good, while others I'm not a fan of. For example, the offline maps on the Apple Watch have actually saved me from buying a Garmin—for now.

But one thing that genuinely annoys me is the lack of consistency in the UI.

For example, in the German version, the exact same collection of saved tours is labeled "Geplant" ("Planned") in one overlay and "Gespeichert" ("Saved") in another. They're referring to the same thing, yet they use different names depending on where you are in the app.

It might seem like a small detail, but to me it's emblematic of how these changes have been implemented. They feel like they were made without enough attention to consistency and an overall coherent design.

If these actually refer to different things and I'm misunderstanding something, please let me know. But as far as I can tell, they're the same list of saved tours.

Fed up with DB bike reservations. Is anyone transporting a bike with bags on German trains?

Hi everyone,

First off, thank you to the community. I've been reading for a while and a lot of the advice and reports here have been really helpful while thinking on and planning my own bikepacking adventures.

What has become increasingly frustrating is the German DB bike reservation system. I've had to cancel bike reservations multiple times because trains changed and after the latest one I'm looking for alternatives that are less stressful and more predictable.

My current idea is to travel with the bike packed as luggage. I'd take a direct train to my starting point, assemble the bike there, do the ride, then pack it up again for the trip home. To keep things simple, I'm only looking at direct trains with no transfers.

As a starting point, I've been looking at the B&W bike.bag TEX.2350 Bike Sack (50€). It isn't too expensive, and the price is roughly equivalent to a few round-trip bike reservations with DB, so it seems worth considering.

I've already read that packed bikes in transport bags are generally accepted on DB trains, but I'd love to hear from people who have actually done this.

Has anyone used the B&W bike.bag TEX.2350 specifically? How practical is it in real-world train travel? Does it hold up well over repeated trips? Is there another lightweight bag you'd recommend instead?

Thanks!
