Currently using Saucony endorphin speed 5 for track work like 400m repeats all the way up to 1k as well as tempo work. Basically all fast stuff track and road. Legs are wrecked after every session with them, they feel very firm for me at 6ft 95kg. Are there any good shoes for the same purpose but have much softer cushioning - specifically speed work as I don’t need them to do anything else, the rest of my rotation has it covered. Would a race shoe get the job done like NB elite v5 or other carbon racers and the like as if something was on sale and could justify the price as they do look like then have more foam or is that the wrong tool for the job. Any advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated cheers
