Is physiotherapist a sustainable career?

I'm a student considering studying physiotherapy in Melbourne. I heard some concerns about the physical toll, and maybe some risks of arthritis? How big is this risk, and is the physical toll so bad that you wouldn't be able to do it long term (like 10+ years)? And if you were to switch careers, how easy is that in Melbourne?

For students currently studying doctor of physiotherapy, why did you choose to do this pathway instead of just studying a bachelor of physiotherapy?

I'm currently a first year bachelor of science student, and I think I'm like 80% certain I want to do physiotherapy/speech pathology, hence why now I'm considering just transferring to a bachelors degree in another uni. Please let me know if you have any kind of advice, thank you!

(AUS) Should I transfer to a bachelor of physiotherapy?

Hi I'm a first year bachelor of science student at unimelb, but I'm currently considering physiotherapy as a career, which also leads me to think that perhaps transferring to a bachelor of physiotherapy would be a good idea. This is especially because from the posts I've been reading on reddit, it seems that people only really do the bachelor+masters pathway if they didn't get into a bachelor of physiotherapy in the first place? Another concern is that I'm maybe only 80% sure I want to do physiotherapy in the future, so there's always a risk that I would want to switch career paths in the future, and I'm not sure how easy that will be to do since I know a physiotherapy bachelor is less flexible than the science bachelor I'm doing right now.

What kind of life would a 90,000-ish salary give me?

Hi, I'm a first year uni student who's lost in choosing career paths. I'm currently interested in physiotherapy, and according to my research they earn around 90,000 to 100,000-ish? But I don't really have an idea of what that looks like and whether that would be enough for me.

For me, an ideal salary would be able to send my kid to a private school, go on vacation maybe for 3 weeks of a year? Be able to have nice dinners occasionally (one every two months maybe?) and I also love going to concerts (which are maybe $500 a year max?). I grew up in the western suburbs of Melbourne, and would like to stay here in the future.

Is it more important to maximise my WAM or keep my options open?

Im a first year bachelor of science student, basically right now I'm basically doing the core subjects for data science and physiotherapy (bc im really lost on which career path i want to take). On the other hand, I'm kind of thinking maybe I should just choose one major, do the core subjects for it and for everything else just kind of choose easy subjects? That way my WAM can be higher? I don't really know which approach I should be taking...or what is really the common approach people take?

Which career path should I choose?

I am a first year uni student at the university of melbourne, currently studying in a bachelor of science looking at majoring in either data science of physiotherapy (also struggling on deciding which to choose). I value having a good worklife balance, being able to tolerate my job, and job stability.

For salary, I would like to be above-average-ish? If I had children I'd like to send them to a private school, be able to go on vacation once or twice a year etc.

If you have any kind of suggestions or advice, please let me know!

Which is easier to get a high WAM? Data science or physiotherapy?

I get that there's probably no one who can give me an exact answer...but if you have any piece of advice, please let me know!

Just for context, im a first year student majoring in data science for now, however I'm looking to try for doctor of physiotherapy after my bachelors. But I also have a data science masters package, so that's why I'm trying to choose between these two majors
