So my player wants to spec into the rapid reaction, and he want to combine the force shield and negate energie force power. but we can’t really find which out which order the powers are supposed to go. Any of you some experience with this

my friends and I have been playing dnd for about 8 years now, with me as their dm. but some of my party wanted to try something else for a change.
so we did some saga edition one shots (i was a player here not gm), and found it to be a very fun and much more intriguing then 5e's dumbed down mechanics. don't get me wrong, 5e/5.5e is great and we will still be playing that, but the freedom you have here in building your character is really cool. and force and destiny point being a rather limit makes it so the force powers when they are used have a lot of impact.
but my monologue asside. do any of you veterans, beginners and everything in betweens have some tips voor this green star wars Gm? :)
we have a jedi who is gonna multiclass in scoundrel (he still needs to pick his species)
we have a Shard noble, who is gonna multiclass into jedi
we have a droid soldier
we have a duro scout
and we have Ithorian Force prodigy - homebrew class from the saga wiki. he wanted to be a wizard basicly he said, so we looked at some classes and this one really spoke to him. he is gonna be a aaing-ti monk without being the aaing ti race
