Advice on a 4WT

So my Lightning is a total loss and I need a new ev. I found a 2024 4WT which is the max range for $42k with 45k miles. Looks clean enough and carfax is clean. Is this a good deal? And coming from a Lariat am I going to regret the barebones interior? Though that range sure is calling me.

Truck deemed total loss

I have GEICO and had an accident with my truck. Front end damage without airbags deployment. I took the truck to network dealer and they come up with a $37k estimate. GEICO determined cash value is 47-49k hence the total loss Florida). Thing is I think the repair is overpriced. I believe i can get it done for far less. When I suggested to the adjuster that I take it elsewhere they intimated that I can drop the claim and fix it at my expense. Is there a way I can get them to make me an offer/pay for the repairs? I remember a couple years back them offering a lowball offer for a hail damage claim on another truck I had (under 2k) and then taking it to their network shop only to have it cost 10k. Which is why I skipped the assessment part and went directly to the shop this time around. Did I mess up by doing that or is there way to get back to step 1?

The other question is - if I let them total the truck can I dispute the cash value they're putting on the truck?

All advice is appreciated.

It's a bust!

Got into an accident of my own making. Damage looks pretty bad though the airbags did not deploy. Drivable so drove it home and hopefully insurance can get it fixed. Can't afford to have it totalled (negative equity) and sadly this may put me back in an ice truck. Like most of us here best vehicle i ever owned.
