Sometime earlier this year, I posted an NC A&T hoodie concept in here and got humbled pretty quickly — respectfully, of course. 😂

A lot of the feedback made me realize something important: I wasn’t ready for school-specific pieces yet. Even as an HBCU graduate, I needed to slow down, study each school’s culture more deeply.

So I went back to the drawing board.

Since then, I’ve been focusing on the details that I think make my work unique like piping details, thoughtful placement, texture, and storytelling through the garments themselves.

These are some of the newer hoodie prototypes I’ve been working on.

I’m still learning and still refining. But definitely in a better place creatively than I was a few months ago.

I would genuinely love feedback on the direction.

I designed HBCU pop-up cards and so far, they are selling well!

Cards I have so far:

- Hampton

- FAMU

- Bowie (1)

- Morgan State

I also designed a pop-up card with founding dates in the border so that it can be given to any HBCU grad.
