My spouse and I lost both of our huskies back in May (one to cancer, the other unexpectedly to age). We knew we wanted to rescue again, and my wife has been wanting a malamute for ages.

After buying our first home (bittersweet without our babies), we were ready to fall in love again... Serendipity, there's a malamute rescue located right at our back door!

Finally today, after many careful steps in the process, we got to take home miss Xena!

She's obviously adjusting still, but so far she's incredibly sweet and very clingy 😊

Price increase is $15 yeesh...

Naturally this justifies the habit so I will keep doing it forever. Moving locally (first time we bought a house!) so I just wrapped all my lids with bubble wrap. Somehow I had lid clips for every piece too!

Seeing all my enameled cast iron boxed up, it doesn't seem like too much...... Such little stacks.....

So I need more, right? 😁

The online FTT has the 1qt oval bakers for $101.50

Looks like they accidentally applied the same price to the 3qt oval baker in Olive (no other 3qt is on sale, and the 20% retirement discount is not $120 off 🙃)

Olive lovers, your last hurrah maybe? Oval baker is a useful piece! Even at FTT they were only marked down to $145 or so.

ETA: it was definitely a mistake, because as of ~6pm EST they have modified the price! It's now $176 🙃

We just bought a home, built in 2001, hasn't been touched since 2001. The kitchen is.... Atrocious is a strong word.... But it's not my vibe, which is dark and moody. Without laminate countertops and white appliances.

I held off buying one for all these years ..... But randomly being 20% off on Amazon and in my favorite color, I finally caved!

Shrimp scampi, easy peasy dish. I always keep lemons garlic and shallots in the house, and recently found out the frozen deveined shrimp makes it crazy easy to whip up (if you plan like a day in advance and thaw them 🙃)
