What are your 5 favourite Shoegaze albums of 2026 so far?

For me it it’s:

Sonic Transistor - Just Empty
choline - Hidden LP
Wavering - The Inexplicable Valley Of Lights
heavëner - Through The Fractured Sky
Lauren Lakis - Deadlights

I’d be interested to hear your top 5 and maybe learn of some albums I’ve missed, thanks.

Expensive cars taking up two (or more) parking spaces.

You’ll see a lot of pics of cars taking up two spaces in supermarket car parks on social media for example. I genuinely think the majority of people can actually park well in a space though.

However there seems to be a lot of comments on these posts of people defending bad parking (in groups for bad parking) if someone has a decent/expensive car and they are doing it because they don’t want their car getting pranged and they would “park like this too” under the circumstances which I get BUT just because you have a decent car it doesn’t make it ok to park illegally. The rules of parking and the Highway Code apply to everyone equally.

Parking in two spots is typically a violation of private parking contracts or local council bylaws, which can lead to fines, parking tickets, or towing. It is considered a breach of rules that usually require vehicles to be parked within a single designated bay, particularly in marked car parks. This is an example of drivers being entitled and daft. I don’t want my car getting pranged either so I just take a little more time to find a space away from the majority of parked cars in a corner if possible. I’m sure these lazy/entitled drivers can do it too.

EDIT: I’m talking about drivers with expensive cars that park slap bang in the middle of two spaces that could have taken up one space very easily and not big cars that can’t fit in small spaces.
