Hi, ​I'm asking here because I don't know where else I can.

Do you know any modern bands that have that wall of sound typical of Smashing Pumpkins, Hum, Failure and My Bloody Valentine for example, that are actually good and not just a nasty copy of some 90's bands?

I have recently aquired an fx500 and I am in love with it (after a bit of tweaking).

I've now decided I want to obtain as much vintage gear as my gluttony will allow.

My only limiting factor is that it could be useful in a shoegaze context.

Any recs?

Whether in terms of atmosphere or lyrics, which ones are they for you?

This is a two piece grunge band that was blossomed out of a ton of use of this substance. It’s just a 15 min ep that was intended to be a whole album called xylem and phloem. I hope you enjoy!

I don’t have a specific reverb sound in mind, I guess just a cool ambient huge shoegaze wall. Something that sounds pretty like the bands slowdive or Julie. I have an rv6 and have heard good things

my band released our first album a month and a half ago and it's gotten a lot more traction than I expected! I wanted to say thanks to anyone here who checked it out when I posted it on release day

if anyone has suggestions for blogs or sites to reach out to who might be willing to review the album I'd love to hear them. we've submitted to a few but haven't had any luck with that

ditto for anyone interested in playing with us in the northeast, especially if you know house venues who'd be interested in having us. we're always looking for new folks to play with, and we love playing house shows but it's been hard to find them outside our local/ formerly-local scenes
