My first playthrough of Elden Ring on my Switch 2 and this happened...

I love this game so much. It was worth the wait to play it on a Nintendo console. I haven't played a From Software game since vanilla Dark Souls 2 on the PS3.

Finally came in!!!

This took a while to get here. I wonder what else NGDEV will release? I used to own this on the Dreamcast years ago. I can't recall what other titles they did back then though...

Burial - "Forgive"

Since Rough Trade is releasing the S/T debut by Burial I decided to take a trip down the dark memory lane and find the very first video and song I ever heard by the man.

I first discovered Burial from Pitchfork and their review of Untrue and, at the time, fantastic coverage of the Dubstep scene happening. That scene from back then was fantastic.

Anyway I also remember this one particular video being used in another article about his music so I went and found it and instantly became a fan. I guess going through severe mental health issues during that time when his two LPs hit the scene made me connect to the music.

This just arrived!

I could not find this in stores locally on release day July 9th and it was sold out online everywhere according to Deku Deals except for Amazon so I went ahead and got it from there.

I'm going to expect now that a lot of the niche jrpgs that I want to play for my switch 2 will be hard to acquire outside of me pre-ordering them...

This classic Japanese only Konami shmup is a hidden game on the Goemon/Mystical Ninja collection!!!

Sorry for the spoiler, but yeah you can actually unlock this game on the just released Konami Goemon Mystical Ninja collection for Switch and PS5. You have to enter the Konami code on the end credits scene which you can access in the menu.

I feel like this is perhaps the first time this game has ever been released besides on the Famicom. I own an NES reproduction cartridge I bought off eBay several years ago, but I adore the Mystical Ninja series and having this added into it is so awesome.

Anyway just fyi for you Shmup fans. This is a "real" hidden gem for sure.
