Acrescentar plantas e substrato (camada fértil + areia preta)

Pretendo colocar:

Plantas Quantidade
Anubias nana 2 a 4 mudas
Samambaia de java 2 a 3 mudas
Cryptocoryne wendtii 3 a 5 mudas
Echinodorus bleheri 1 muda
Salvínia Um punhado pequeno
Musgo de java 1 porção média
Valiisneria spiralis 4 a 6 mudas
Ludwigia repens 4 a 8 hastes

Is it worth buying one of those automatic siphons people use for aquariums?

First time turtle keeper here. I bought a manual siphon for $2.00 and it seems like a nightmare. I tried using it, and now my arm hurts and their swimming area is still dirty. I want to cry.

So two things I noticed:

  1. In the add for the one I have he aquarium is higher than the pumping end of the siphon. My set up is literally on the floor, so it may be inadequate for it?

  2. I saw there is one that claims to operate using vacuum ($6.00), which I don't know if it will work because it looks far too similar to the one I have, the only difference being than it has a small valve near the pump. There is also an automatic one, but it is far on the expensive side ($50.00).

I need something that cleans the bottom without demanding too much of my weak t-rex arms, and without needing to change the entire water.

Should I buy the vacuum one, save to buy the automatic one, or will neither of them work because of the set up position and it is better to use an alternative I didn't think off?

3D printing for turtles

So, I ended up as the custodian of two lovely turtles (presumably male, grew up together). How it happened is a long story, what matters is that rehoming them is not an option and I am projecting the best habitat I can given my spacial and financial limitations.

They are staying outdoors (it is safe predators wise, and the setup I am planning accounts for that).

I already bought a 100L pool for them on the internet (I intend to switch to a 300L one once I am financially able to, bigger than that is not spatially possible), which I expect to arrive between the 18th and 21st.

I projected a basking plataform that maximizes the use of vertical space so the pool can be used solely for swimming space (sadly, the project is in Brazilian Portuguese, but I do plan on translating it once I have time to put it here to ask for input), but it is expensive (~USD 270,00) – this is not a complaint, just acknowledging reality.

Thing is, realistically, I can't afford to build it this month. I need something that will give them access to the dry area as a temporary solution, preferentially something that buys me a couple of months so I can save to build the project I planned.

I did come up with a temporary plataform that costs ~USD 50,00.

But my cousin has a 3D printer, and I would like to know if I can print them a ramp using PETG fillament to allow them to access the area out of the pool or the temporary basking plataform I will build. I expect it to last 2-3 months. Is it a good solution, considering it is temporary? 1kg of fillament costs ~USD 20.
