This is a unique unit that was once 2 separate apartments: a studio was combined with the adjoining 2 bedroom to make a 1,755 sq ft super-unit. I am looking for one person (preferably) to fill the other two rooms & baths. Also open to couples or siblings wanting to live together if it's a good fit. I have the former studio so I’m usually not using the common area except kitchen on occasion (I have a couch, workspace, and library in my bedroom). You alone would take BOTH the MASTER BEDROOM (+ BATH) and GUEST BEDROOM (+ BATH) of the former 2bd/2bth apartment for $2,100 total base rent. NOTE: I have 2 special needs cats (more info in below sections).
- Rent-stabilized
- In-unit W/D
- A/C & heat in each room
- Parking pass
- Non-smoking
- $50 application fee
- $1,375 security deposit
- $2,100 base rent + electric + sanitation/water + WiFi (approx. $150/mo.)

ABOUT YOU:
- Preferably female
- You must like cats because my cats roam freely about the common area
- Clean and will help deep clean on occasion. (I’m open to getting a monthly cleaning service to ease the burden since the space is so large.)
- Respectful, working professional with a stable income
- NOT MAGA

ABOUT THE CATS:
- 2 male shelter cats with special needs (separation anxiety, special diets), but they are the sweetest, cuddliest angels.
- They have a litter robot that keeps things nice and clean

ABOUT ME:
- 31 y/o female working in the legal field
- Enjoy design and making music in my free time

EDIT: clarified that rent total includes BOTH rooms

It’s my birthday 😢

It’s my birthday today so of course I’m ovulating and stuck on the toilet in pain looking 7 months pregnant and crying. My boyfriend got us tickets to the zoo (which is odd since I’ve never once mentioned wanting to go to the zoo but I appreciate the gesture nonetheless) and I don’t know how I’m going to walk around in the heat in this much pain. I really just wanted to have a day to relax for once in my life because I hustle and work every day in a high stress job and never get to take care of myself. Even after my excision surgery I worked from home in my bed. This disease makes it so hard to appreciate life. I love the good days but the bad days overwhelm me and make me want to curl up in a ball and hide. It makes it so tough to make and keep friends because I’m a sorry sack of sad for 2-3 weeks out of the month. And I look like I don’t appreciate the things people do for me but my brain fog and pain just make it so hard to focus and emote and even hold a conversation. I want to give up and live in a sanatorium if only they still had those.

Please help - sudden dysbiosis?

About 2 months ago I had almost perfect poos. I’m talking courtesy-wiper poos. I can’t figure out what happened, but seemingly overnight I started getting VERY loose, almost yellowy stools. Not to the point of explosive diarrhea, but definitely mega-wiper poos. I also am passing NASTY gas. Like, it could clear a room so I gotta hold it in with all my might until my body finally absorbs the stink.

I’ve been trying to narrow down what could have done this—if I ate something perhaps, but nothing seems to fit. It’s not getting better despite copious probiotics. And I did a standard stool test and everything came back normal. PLEASE HELP!

I live in Los Angeles and Livable just charged me $300+ for water from February... It is July. What is going on?

My property manager (Westside Habitats LLC) uses Livable for its utility allocation and billing. The units don't have separate water meters so the building is charged as a whole and a portion is paid by the tenants. Today, July 2, Livable emailed me my bill. On it is a trash charge for $35.05 (typical) and a water/sewer charge from 2/06/2026 - 3/07/2026. That amount is for $308.13... I've never seen such a high water bill in my life and my typical bill is usually around $150. How can this be? What could be causing endo? Why is there not a large-scale population study? Or is there?

EDIT: I know the first question in the title asks potential causes, but what I’m really trying to figure out is why there aren’t a number of large-scale studies. With today’s technology, I feel like at least data analyses from lifestyle surveys could be fairly cheap.

It seems so simple to me. Why is there no survey presented to the lot of us upon diagnosis to determine commonalities? Or some medical record review to find comorbidities? It’s such a cop out to chalk it up to genetics and call it a day. Nobody in my lineage ever had endometriosis yet my sister and I both have it so there ought to be some environmental cause here. How have we not found it? Does nobody care? If I were a medical researcher I’d be ALL over this thing because, aside from it helping to change lives, it’s also a fascinating phenomenon. Maybe we could all start a survey or something on here? Do our own population study? Find at least pockets or regions of particularly high prevalence?

We know our bodies better than anyone and all of you out there reading this, please keep advocating for yourself. Do not give up no matter how many doctors deny you or dismiss you.

For context: I had my first laparoscopy in September 2020 after my pain was dismissed for a decade (I’m sure most of y’all experienced the same). Turns out I had stage 3 to 4 endometriosis with severe adhesions all across my pelvic and abdominal regions. My pain was real.

About a year later I started to experience a recurrence of symptoms, though not nearly as debilitating as they were before. A new symptom, however, namely excruciating bowel movements, impelled me to seek an opinion for a second surgery. I thought it would be a no-brainer because, as documented, I did in fact have endometriosis. However, each doctor I consulted told me it would be “impossible” for my endo to have grown back since I had a successful, complete excision. Each year, each doctor said the same. Meanwhile, I was getting worse by the day, the pain in my bowels literally crippling me, knocking me over such that I would crawl to the bathroom. I kept looking for help and finally found a surgeon that validated me.

Yesterday I had my second lap. Not only did my endo grow back, I developed deep infiltrating lesions and adhesions in the EXACT places that I felt pain. Endometriosis sucks and it is a lifelong journey, and anyone that tells you otherwise, that you can be “cured” of it, is grossly misinformed. Keep going, keep learning, keep fighting, and always trust yourself. You know your body best 🫶
