This is the most beautiful looking Game I have ever played and I can't stop playing it

I have played a lot of games in my life and while on paper I should not enjoy crimson desert, I just fell completely in love with it. I guess this is the game I ever wanted as a kid.

Edit: For everyone curious, these are all the settings I have to get this look.

[PAID $10] One hour, your phone, no install: I need 3 people to give me a first time user expierence for my autobattler card game (EN / ES / 中文)

Paid: $10 for one hour. Three slots. Phone only, browser, no install, no account.

I have been building a tricktaking card game and I have a problem every solo dev has: I cannot see it with fresh eyes any more. I need three people who have never touched it to play it cold for one hour and tell me where it loses them.

The game

Autotrick, a roguelite card game about who stands next to whom. You put the right cards side by side for fifty rounds, and your skills turn a polite little line-up into an engine that scores high enough to unlock tracks most players never hear.

If that is too abstract: imagine a trick-taking autobattler had a child with the scoring engine of Balatro and the skill building of Absolum. The cards fight on their own. The game is what you build between the rounds.

It runs in the mobile browser. One link, nothing to install, no sign-up.

What the session looks like

  • You get a link and play on your phone for one hour, on your own time, in the language you speak natively.
  • Play it like you would play any game you found on your own.
  • While you play, keep notes. Bullet points are fine. Rough is fine. Honest is better than polite.
  • Afterwards you send me the notes. 20 to 30 short lines is a good target.
  • Optional and appreciated: a screen recording with your voice on it while you play, even just the first 15 minutes. If you do, say so when you apply.

What I actually want to know

  1. First five minutes. What did you think this game was? What did you expect to do? Did the opening give you a reason to keep going?
  2. The tutorial. It teaches you piece by piece while you play, instead of front-loading everything. Did that work? Did any hint arrive too early, too late, or explain something you could not see on screen?
  3. Where you got stuck. Every moment you thought "wait, what?"
  4. What was missing. Something the game clearly expected you to know and never told you.
  5. Bugs and broken layout. Anything cut off, overlapping, unreadable, unclickable or too small on your screen. Tell me your phone model and browser.
  6. Language. The game is available in English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese. If you test in Spanish or Chinese: where does the text read machine-translated, stiff, wrong, or just not like a game would say it? This is the whole reason I want native speakers and not translators.

The three slots

  • 1x native or fluent English
  • 1x native or fluent Spanish
  • 1x native or fluent Simplified Chinese

For all three:

  • You are comfortable playing on your phone for an hour.
  • You can write your notes in English, or in your own language if that is easier. Spanish and Chinese notes are fine, I will handle it.
  • Prior card game or deckbuilder experience is welcome but genuinely not required. If you have never played Balatro, you are useful to me in a different way.
  • This round is only about the first hour, so you will not see much past the opening of a run. If the collaboration goes well and the game interests you, there is a follow-up playtest for the mid and late game, same pay. No obligation on either side, and no promise either. It just means this does not have to be a one-off.

Payment

$10 for one hour, Paypal preffered, other options possible, tell me what you prefer when you apply.

How to apply

Comment or DM with:

  1. Which language slot you are going for and whether you are native.
  2. Your phone model and browser (for example: iPhone 13, Safari / Pixel 7, Chrome).
  3. Roughly how much you play card games, one line.
  4. When you could do it in the next few days, and your timezone.

I will reply to everyone I pick within a day and send the link plus a short list of the questions above so you have them while you play.
