What is there besides mineral glass?
What other types of glass are there that are used for making lenses?

I've learned here that MJ's ST lenses are no thinner than comparable high quality lenses, and also that they don't sacrifice other qualities to achieve whatever thinness they do have. I know they aren't claiming "SuperThinNER" but it still feels like a reach to me, for them to tout a feature of their product that doesn't specialize it in any way.
Part of me says "Who cares? It's just a name, and they're not lying..." It's just that for so long I wanted to tell them "I don't care about superthin if you're sacrificing optical quality in any way to get it!" So I felt biased against their product, instead of toward it.
Any thoughts from people here?
All The President's Sunglasses
This is new to me, so maybe to others as well.
I see Quay sunglasses pretty frequently, mostly on eBay. Anyone know anything about them? They're an Australian brand, and their website looks legit and professional. What is the product like??
Have had them for over 10 years. Looking forward to another 10 years!
Model called Waimea Canyon. Has excellent glass lenses!
My hero of a neighbor showing off what he's got. There's more where that came from!
I don't even think he's worn most of them

Glass lens, made in China
Came across them completely by accident while browsing around!
Too good to be true but just how good?? Lot of stuff on eBay that looks shady, but I don't want to disrespect them if they don't deserve it.
Don't know anything about them except what's in the photographs.
World's thinnest polarized lens, according to website. Would love to try out!
Saw them at a garage sale, never heard of them. They were made in Italy or Japan.
Is Silhouette a quality brand? Don't see any discussion of them.
Can I make a very small and petty observation? It's not going to change anyone's life even the slightest bit, but sometimes doing something for right's sake is reward enough(!)
I've come across it written as Oliver People's in some places, instead of Oliver Peoples (the apostrophe). It's so small that I didn't even bother noting down where. But just for some harmless trivial microscopic knowledge...!
Is Maui Jim ST Glass significantly thinner than other brands' glass lenses? I've owned MJ and Costa and Serengeti but never really noticed or compared how thick or thin they are.
