Prestige system need a slight rework regards to continue leveling/rewards.

So I've prestige all guns once at least and character 3 times. Now that I have no more upgrades in general to pursue other than prestige, I realized it's kinda boring to keep chasing, don't get me wrong, I plan to just focus on one sets of guns to max prestige or at least get double joker and all 6 upgrades but I feel like maybe the game should look into someother way to keep the leveling fun because after you prestige once, the individual level of the gun and character don't matter anymore until you reach another prestige.

Maybe XP boost system like space marine so that each prestige will make your next prestige faster, since we don't have gun skins yet, or weapon mod like overclock from DRG or attachment system.

Unless something like upgrade plus+ system that you can overlay to your existing upgrades to increase their value like e.g 5% damage, then upgrade plus to get 0.1% like 5.1% per upgrade slots on the weapon character.

Just trying to give suggestions for leveling beyond prestige to be something you can get exciting again.

I didn't even know about this sub but it is interesting reading some post here and there from differing opinions.

Have been a day 1 diver, went through all the drama and shit from an apathetic angle from afar not really taking any sides other than disappointed in bugs still not being fixed.

I just want to ask, how much more difficult the game you guys want the game to be until the small subfaction of efficiency diver's meta (which I consider myself to be) of run diver's take over the meta again? It almost got bought out into the spotlight a few patches ago and few times over the lifecycle of this game and from all the warbonds, that meta with addition of particularly this newest one is even more stronger now.

There is a tipping point of when the intrinsic engagement of the game difficulty just doesn't match the satisfaction for the decision to play the game.

I guess I'm just trying to understand how far u guys want the game to go in terms of difficultly before the game truly become only u guys and I guess guys like me are left enjoying the game and all those "casuals"leave?

Post edit:

Interesting opinions all around, so I guess the general opinions are that the game should be challenging enough to promote team play, different approach to tackling enemies and objective.

Thanks for the read guys, appreciate it.

Imo, the state of the game is sort of compromised in a weird state where due to indecision since game launched, it's stuck between the developer's intent (from what they say of grunt fantasy) versus what the majority want and perceived (power fantasy) and now at least to me feel like AH mentally checked out in terms of creativity and commitment and are just doing the bare minimum to appease SONY, which I find very disappointing, especially when they still haven't to bother with fixing game breaking bugs or even just small QOL bugs.

They tried it with commando operation, which from what my own experience, not many people actively engage with and of those that joined me, usually are just clueless newbies that quick joined me and die and leave. And I guess with this latest drama they most likely will gave up more in terms of commitment to focus on their next game.

I am what you called a destiny refugee (also darktide and many other), and seeing another game with great potential be sort of given up by the dev was disheartening, and resent it, mainly on the dev because they should at least be professional and fix the damn bugs even when in this state.
