So I don't want to spoil myself by watching too much gameplay but I can say for certain. I want to buy this game.
My one question is, how much content is currently in the early access release? I want to make sure I have enough to keep me busy while the small dev team turns some updates out.
The game looks fantastically fun from the little bits I've seen.
Just got off from a game where the host would just keep killing me and this other player. They just started attacking us out of no where and kept us as ghosts for most of the game while his friend did the Objective alone. He revived us twice but kept killing us. I do not really know what to do about hosts like this or if there’s any way to report this but this type of experience ruins the game for me so I was wondering if theres a way to report this type of behavior?
I bought this game because I was in deep need of action co-op shooter. Had my fill with FFW and wanted to try yesterday release of DRG Rogue Core.
The EA was so underwhelming I just had to go back and play something far more enjoyable and customizable.
I had a good opinion of FFW before, but now, holy moly. Being able to see how a huge studio with a lot of years of development can handle EA... phew
I realized how good we have it.
I have done a few runs and they all seem the same. I have just now realised I can buy and equip permanent jokers, which I think will be game changing.
Do you have any advice on which things I should prioritise first so that the game starts feeling more fast and smoother?
So me and 2 other friends played this game for a few hours the other day and had tons of fun. All of us were level 19. Unfortunately 2 of us work full time and can't play again until our weekend, while the 3rd doesn't work at all. He didn't want to wait for us, so he's been playing a ton the past couple days and will probably continue playing until the weekend.
He of course said he'll just unequip his jokers and stat points, but I don't really trust that completely. Are we in for a boring time getting hard carried by him, or are the enemies and everything going to scale to his level? Just trying to find out if it's even worth playing with him, as I don't want the game ruined or made boring by playing with our 3rd friend who's had a week head start on us.
Jokers were Cantrip + Elec mastery + West Wizard + Sniper unique joker (the spell cd reduction one)
Found three West Wizards during the run and another Elec mastery later in the run (courtesy of my friends). The 4 dwarves helped a fair bit too admittedly.
This is the most hilarious bug ever
Looked up some reviews, and the game looks like a lot of fun. I'm still a bit unsure if I'll get this or Rogue Core (knowing me, probably both), but the only thing holding me back is that I don't think I saw anyone commenting about the solo experience, because the focus is on co-op after all.
So, is the game fun solo? Is it too difficult?
So I've prestige all guns once at least and character 3 times. Now that I have no more upgrades in general to pursue other than prestige, I realized it's kinda boring to keep chasing, don't get me wrong, I plan to just focus on one sets of guns to max prestige or at least get double joker and all 6 upgrades but I feel like maybe the game should look into someother way to keep the leveling fun because after you prestige once, the individual level of the gun and character don't matter anymore until you reach another prestige.
Maybe XP boost system like space marine so that each prestige will make your next prestige faster, since we don't have gun skins yet, or weapon mod like overclock from DRG or attachment system.
Unless something like upgrade plus+ system that you can overlay to your existing upgrades to increase their value like e.g 5% damage, then upgrade plus to get 0.1% like 5.1% per upgrade slots on the weapon character.
Just trying to give suggestions for leveling beyond prestige to be something you can get exciting again.
This would give them some immediate short-term use after unlocking all weapons, and long-term use for after you unlock future skins. It would also permit you to slowly work on other guns you're not using, or to expedite the prestige process on ones you are.
Mostly it would just give fragments a current sink after your first dozen hours in the game.
At the moment, it's sort of pointless to interact with the anvil event after a while, same with wells since the downsides outweigh the chance for a little bit of gold or souls. Sometimes I can't even be bothered to chase around the loot goblin, I wish he just dropped a joker instead.
Doesn't have to be a ton of XP, anything would make it feel more worth hoarding them.
I don't think it's supposed to be that big.
I like to imagine that the cactus element is actually a general botanical school of magic, and its just cactuses because we live in a desert and thats what we have steady access too. (ignore that there are many maps with other kinds of foliage, I just like the idea of a plantmancer being forced to use one plant for so long that they just become a thatthingmancer instead of a plantmancer lol)
