I’ve been working on a oneshot in a magic academy (we already had one once and my group liked it so much they wanted a follow up)

I’ve introduced some magic classes and now exams are coming up.

I am trying to find some ways to flavour the exams they have to take. My players have been really delving into going to class last time (and almost ditched the actual plot last time) they love riddles and puzzles, but quite frankly I’m just running out of ideas at this point. These are the classes I’ve introduced last time. Anyone having ideas for the exams?:

- Arkanes Fundament 1
- Mechanische Konstruktion 1 (für unseren Artficer)
- Astrale und natürliche Leylinienkunde (Warlock & Druide)
- Arkanometrie & Resonanzmuster (Sorcerer)

I’ll DM my first DnD Session in a few weeks (I’ve already been DMing other systems, for almost 10 years now, but they are notably different from DnD, both in how much freedom one has to shape the world, as in dice system).

I’ve been wanting to do a magic school Oneshot, where they are all going to an academy for magic for whatever personal reasons they have. They are allowed to make non spellcasters as well, they just have to make a story up for why they’re there.

One of the students will then vanish under mysterious circumstances and they have to figure out the why and how and stop what is threatening the world….. well now I need to figure that out first.

I have some fun tools to play with, among them a riddle box and an invisible maze bottle, and a 3D printer if I need more mischief.

Would anyone have some fun ideas they’d like to share?
