Tool Cart Expansion
Added the USG End Cabinet to my 5 Drawer Cart. Im pretty sure its an older model because the Series 3 end cabinet is a little different, so im unsure how much the overall measurements have changed (if at all).
I dont have this cart anymore because I ended up trading it in for a tool truck box and cart about 6 years back, but i was always really proud of it. Unfortunately I dont have any pictures of the actual modification, but I just had to cut a tiny piece out of the top of the drawers to wrap around the back corner of the cart, and it literally just sat on the edge. I think i may have squeezed the edge to pinch it on the cart, but that was just to make me feel better at the beginning if im honest haha Even managed to get it just perfect enough to be able to close and lock the cart with no issues.
With the majority of my tools being in the main cart, it never felt like it would tip over either. Ended up using it as a writing surface/tiny work surface and a place to hold the few kits i had as i was starting out. May have put some wrenches and other hand tools in as well, but I cant quite remember. It was a great way to increase my storage capabilities without needing to immediately spend BIG money.
