Conqueror vs Stormraider's Surge

I always thought these are just optimizations for specific matchups and comps, but recently I watched a coach chippys video where I realized these are simply two different playstyles the champion has. So my question is, which playstyle would you say is more consistent? which one should I learn and focus on?

for context, I play conqueror garen in 90% of my games, I swap to stormraider's surge only when im against ranged champions. recently tho, the stormraider's surge playstyle has been catching my interest so I wanna know if it's worth learning.

tips for dying less

I feel like this is the main thing ruining my performances in my recent games, but I just cant find the balance between sitting back and waiting for other players to carry the game and taking risks that end up getting me killed. for example, I know I should take trades in lane and abuse passive + Doran's shield to heal up but sometimes that just gets me dove by the enemy jungler. or in teamfights I know I should be looking for flanks and diving the backline with my team, but I'm scared to do that sometimes because if I get focused or if my team doesn't follow up then I just die and the game is out of my control. How do you guys die less while not being completely passive players?

Struggling in Emerald

I managed to climb from gold 4 to emerald 3 this year maining garen, but now games feel really hard for me and most of the time i find that i win/go even in lane and pray my team doesnt throw the game.

I am wondering if any of you diamond+ garen mains who use this sub might have any advice for me to keep climbing and carry hard games.
