What does validating parking mean?

I see it everywhere in American TV. "Can you do x to validate my parking", "can you at least validate my parking". What is validated parking? I haven't a clue why you might need someone to verify that you were there.

Fics with unrequited prongsfoot?

As the title, fics where James gets with Regulus because he's the next best thing then actually falls for him. Also fics where Sirius is in love with James and has to watch him fall for his brother.

I just think there's so much untapped angst here.

What's something in a fic that made you realise the person writing it had no idea what they were talking about?

I just read a fic where there is a five year old who woke up extra early. Apparently for a kid that age, that meant at 9am. What I don't understand about this is that children go to school at 9am. Very few five year olds are asleep at 9am, let alone having 9am be an early rise.

The entire point of the original question is to frame it in such a way as to incentivise people to pick blue. It's framed as a morally superior choice (three marshmallows for someone else vs one for yourself type deal). But, as many reds point out, picking red is the "game theory" best choice.

Reframing the question does genuinely change the question. It's good to demonstrate how you understood the question, but every word in the question makes blue a better choice. It's intentionally framed to look like a morally better choice, which in turn makes it a morally better choice (because if even 5% of people foolishly put blue, other people unfoolishly need to pick blue to save them).
