Should I Build My Portfolio Website With AI or Code It Myself?

I'm a college student planning to build a portfolio website for myself, but I'm confused about how I should approach it.

Should I build it completely by myself, or should I use AI to build it for me?

Using AI would definitely save me a lot of time and could help me create a more polished website. But building it myself would give me more hands-on practice and a better understanding of how everything works.

So I'm stuck between:

AI → Faster development + better results
Build it myself → More practice + deeper understanding

What would be the better approach for a student who is still learning?

Should I build everything from scratch, use AI only for assistance, or take a hybrid approach? 🤔

Final-Year BCA Student With 0 Projects — Where Do I Start?

As a final-year BCA student from a Tier-3 college, I honestly feel completely lost about my career.

I have:

  • No internship
  • No work experience
  • 0 hackathon participation
  • 0 projects
  • No clear idea about which career path to choose

I don't know what to learn, where to learn from, what to build, or what career I should even pursue.

Whatever knowledge I have feels like a waste because I haven't been able to turn it into anything meaningful.

Sometimes, it feels like everyone is ahead of me and I don't know enough to compete. I'm genuinely scared that I won't be able to get a job after graduation.

I have around 8 months left before I graduate, and I don't want to waste them.

I want to give myself one last serious try.

But I need direction.

If you were in my position, what career path would you choose and how would you use these 8 months to become job-ready?

What would you learn?
What would you build?
What would you avoid?
And most importantly, what would you do differently if you were starting from zero?

I'm looking for honest advice from people who have been through this.
