Hi everyone,
A group of us are planning to do the Kudremukha trek and are looking for budget-friendly homestays nearby.

We’ll have our own car, so staying within about 20–30 minutes driving distance from the trek starting point is totally fine. Clean rooms, decent food, and parking availability would be preferred.

Any recommendations based on your experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you’re planning to join/buy a YouTube Family group, please be careful. A lot of people here start a trial subscription, collect members, and then stop it after a month. Many claim it’s “long-term” and promise regular renewals, but that’s often not the case.

They usually charge around ₹60–70 (sometimes even less), collect money from multiple people, make a few hundred rupees, and then disappear after a month.

The bigger issue is that once you join a YouTube Family group and it gets removed, you may not be able to join another family group for up to 12 months (check YouTube’s current policy), which can be frustrating.

So my suggestion is: avoid joining random family groups and be cautious to prevent getting scammed.
