Hi everyone,

My fiancée and I are starting to look for wedding venue options and I’m hoping to get some honest recommendations from people who have planned weddings in the area.

We’re looking for a venue for approximately 120–150 guests, ideally within the Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge region or up to about 45 minutes east toward Milton/Mississauga.

Our ideal total wedding budget is around $25k–$30k max all-in, so we’re trying to avoid venues/packages that immediately push us into the $50k+ range.

We’re open to creative or less traditional options, including:

• Barns / farms / private properties /Airbnb
• Golf courses or smaller event spaces
• Venues that allow outside catering
• Spaces where we can bring our own decor/vendors
• Friday or Sunday dates if Saturdays are too expensive/booked

Ideally, we’d love somewhere with a nice natural setting, greenery, water/pond views, gardens, or a European/countryside feel, but we’re flexible if the space is practical and can be styled nicely.

Main things we’re looking for:

• Capacity for 120–150 guests
• Reasonable venue fee or package pricing
• Flexibility with catering/vendors, if possible

Has anyone found a venue or creative setup in this area that worked within a $25k–$30k total wedding budget? I’d really appreciate any recommendations, hidden gems, realistic pricing, or even places to avoid.
