Looking for some advice on how to fish this lake without a kayak/boat. A lot of submerged vegetation and scattered open pockets.. The water isn’t the most clear this time of the year

I mainly have 4/5” Senkos/yum fingers etc along with some Topwater frogs, poppers, and Temu urchins on the way.

A few questions: -Where would you make your first casts? -Would you start with topwater or go straight to a plastic? -What kind of retrieves would you recommend for this type of water? Feels like I’m mixing things up and still not getting bit -Would you throw a weightless or weighted Texas rig? Or wacky?

I’m still learning how to break down water like this, so I’d appreciate any tips on how to get the most out of this area or what I should be paying attention to! 🎣 🙏🏾

Caught this little largemouth while fishing from a nearby lake this evening. I havnt fished since I was a kid so even this is a win in my book!

This was on a crème colored crawdad that I swapped to after a pumpkin w black flake senko wasn’t doing the trick… I must be doing something wrong tho senkos are bass magnets from what I read here. Any tips on what lures or techniques I should try next from the bank/shore?
