In need help to make it to first payday of my new job
Hi all.
I'm from a small city in an east European country.
I'm asking for help to make it to my first payday at this new job I'm starting.
The situation is as follows.
Three years ago I had a decent minimum wage job working remote for an outsourcing company with many different departments for customer support roles. But eventually they got rid of the remote teams so I lost it.
I had some saved money at the time, that together with selling whatever electronics I had bought during the time I had that job has helped me last some time. But as time went on and I failed to secure a stable job with a contract, it became harder and harder just to survive.
Contributing factors to why I've had a very difficult time finding a stable job are: chronic health issues that prevent me from being in public most of the time (genetic skin condition with cosmetic effects that make me unhireable for face to face jobs, that's why my work history is a series of remote jobs, altered lung development which leaves me unable to do extensive physical work, and others...), having no higher education, no driving license/car (can't afford it), living in a small city with very limited job openings (remote jobs are my only hope at getting one, but they are extremely hard to find these days due to automation) ...
The positive news is that I actually managed to get approved for a remote interpreting role for general public institutions of another country that needs native speakers of the language of my country and my english is rated at C2, I'm lucky that it looks like this job can't be automated (at least for now), as it deals with interactions of a sensitive nature that government regulations don't allow automation to handle it.
But the setback and the reason I have to ask for help anywhere I can is that this job will pay me for the first time in 60 days and that's too far with where I am right now with being behind many months with the bills and having no money for food.
Fortunately, where I live, the cost of living is not so bad that it leaves me in a position beyond help. Where I live minimum monthly pay is $600 (this is NOT what I'm asking for, it's just a number to give an idea of the cost of living where I am).
I can give exact numbers for what I need help with and how much:
I managed to get approved for a split payment for the 6 month behind light bills (the reason they allowed me to have it for so long before sending me a notice of end of service unless I pay is because thankfully I managed to reduce my power usage significantly under the average usage), so I would need to pay 2/4 parts of the older bill total sum and 1 new bill in order to not lose service in the next 60 days, which amounts to $50
One month of internet access which will last for two months with the one month grace period to pay that the provider offers, that being $10.
For the water bill, I'm behind 6 months (they haven't cut it because the way water service is set up where I live, they can't turn off service individually and I'm the only one behind), if I could pay at least 3 months here it would give me some extra time before I get in trouble with the neighbors even more, that is $60.
And last, food money (the city where I live is extremely small, the government has very limited food assistance programs that I don't qualify for because I'm neither a very young child nor a very old person), so at the very minimum possible, I would need around $100 to get daily food consisting of some apples and corn flakes which I can get by with as I don't have cooking and cold storage equipment.
So the total of power, internet, water bills and food money to allow me to work and last me until the first payday is $220.
I know that $220 is not nothing anywhere/to anybody, but that is the difference between me having one chance at starting to get back on my feet or losing even this job I've finally managed to be accepted for, (I can't work at this job without power and internet service at home as it is a remote job).
I live alone, I have no living family members, I wish there was another way, but I have no options but to ask anybody that I can ask for help.
Please, if you can help, you can try to contact me for whatever details are needed, the easiest way to help would be paypal I think.
edit: fixing spelling, also I forgot the "of" in the title for "In need of help..." but I can't change that now, sorry about that
