Let's talk about "that day".

From what I can tell, there appears to be quite a few weird route references connected to that day. Paired with the fact that Noelle said December "left", not went missing, implies that she managed to go out of bounds just like Kris and Noelle do in the weird route. A few connections between Asriel and December imply Asriel believes that day was his fault.

If Kris was with December while she "left", and Kris wasn't able to make it, then Kris may have just drowned. After that though... I have no idea what happens. Somehow, I think Kris may have been taken to the sjelter.

What are your thoughts?

Reverse weird route theory.

I've had this thought in the back of my head for a while, and it's only grown stronger since chapter 5... is there a reverse weird route? What if you can use aspects of the weird route in a positive light instead of a negative one? Surely there's a way to break the game that doesn't require drowning Kris and Noelle.

Chapter 2

You can still get the dialogue about backtracking and Spamton's trash heap without actually freezing anybody. You can also increase Noelle's coldness stat and change her title to Frostmancer without the need for killing. There's also Noelle's dialogue about Susie tea which implies that there IS a method to keep her as a party member.

Chapter 3

Three separate unused tracks on the OST. I KNOW there's a way to play at least one of them in-game. In board one, there's a key under the cactus. I've got a pretty good feeling this is the actual light world key to Toriel's room. There's four ports in Tenna's game system despite there being only three people. If Tenna doesn't take up a spot on the couch, then there's room for four characters. If you break the sequence of board 2, there's a way to smuggle both Susie and Ralsei into the frozen lands. If only you could get rid of that bush...

Chapter 4

There's about five different chances for you as the soul to reveal yourself to Susie and Noelle. If there would be any way to break the game, it would be here. Toriel mentions that Kris knows where the spare key to the house is. You find where it is, you can break the game.

Chapter 5

An entire unused ring for Noelle called the GildedRose, which is what inspired this theory. At this point the narrative seems almost insistent on making sure Noelle and Ralsei have separate stories and never fully meet. So what if we brought the two together?

That's about all I had. I'm sure at least half of this is wrong, but I have a strong feeling this theory is more valid than I think it is.

I think that Deltarune Chapter 5 will release on September 15th 2026, Undertale's eleven year anniversary.

The first time Deltarune is ever mentioned is in Undertale. Thus, Undertale's eleventh anniversary is also technically the eleven year anniversary of Deltarune.

I also think this date fits well with what we'll see in the chapter, considering the festival seems to take place in the Fall.

Think about it. All of its sightings, isn't there a pattern?

The basement of Queen's mansion. Friend only shows up for a few seconds, to the point where only you could see it.

The Spamton Sweepstakes. There's no Fun Gang around, it's just you.

The cutscene in Chapter 3. A cutscene which, conveniently, only you are able to see.

The Mantle game in the backstage of the Green Room. Friend fights a digitized version of Kris, which is actually just you. Additionally, Kris doesn't have any visceral reaction to seeing Friend during the Eram fight.

A dark room in Chapter 4. Friend is separated by a wall so only you would be able to see it and it would would only be able to see you.

Friend would know that the Fun gang has no choice but to follow the prophecy, whether they like it or not. The outlier, of course, being you. It makes sense to keep an eye on the outlier.

Whether that would be to make sure that the prophecy is followed or to break the prophecy completely though, I have no clue.
